Cats like to sleep a lot. They like to relax and sleep all day.

When they wake up they like to make sure their fur looks good, so they clean it.  

Cats like to play and they will run around and jump about as well as climb up trees. Cats will also play with you, and they will ask you to stroke them as it feels nice. When a cat talks, the sound is called a “meow”. You will also hear them purr if stroke them.

Cats also like to go hunting, which is when they catch other animals like birds. If you do not feed your cat, it will go and hunt so that it can eat. 

What do cats eat?

Cats will drink water, but they really love milk. They also love fish and chicken and will come running towards you if they can smell these foods.

Cats also love treats and little cat biscuits. Eating these makes them happy and you will hear them purr.

Body parts of the cat

Cats are covered in fur, which makes them feel soft and it helps them to stay warm. They have 4 legs and their feet are called “paws”. They also have sharp claws on their paws which help them to hunt and climb. Cats also have strong teeth, and fangs which they can use for hunting.

Cats also have long tails, which you can stroke. When a cat is happy, its tail will stick up in the air.
