Example Sentences -例文

There are a lot of different activities and sports you can play, but some people just like to watch.

This can be at home, where you can watch tv and drink beer, or you can buy a ticket and go to a stadium to watch.

If you play a sport, you will probably need a sports bag to hold your equipment or kit/ uniform.  we wear a uniform so we can move better and also so we can get dirty or sweaty without any problems.

A lot of sports use a ball, and these can be of different sizes and shapes. The most common sport in the world is football/soccer.  Basketball uses an orange ball that is about the same size, but you use your hands to throw the ball into a hoop.

Tennis uses a smaller ball, and a racket. Table tennis is a game played with even smaller balls and rackets and is played on a table. Sometimes this is called  ping pong and it is a lot of fun as you can play it inside.

Baseball uses a small ball and a bat. You have to throw the ball and hit it with the bat.

Rugby uses a ball that is egg shaped and hockey can sometimes use a ball. If it is played on the ice, it uses a puck, which is like a flat circle.

These sports are about scoring points or goals and we call these games “matches”. For example, to win a football match you have to score goals.

A lot of sports are races, to see who can be the fastest.

This can be running or cycling on a bicycle

This can also be done in the water, with swimming. However, you can also get sports that involve boats, such as sailing and kayaking that are usually races.

Sometimes we race other things for sports, such as horse racing and dog racing. These are usually done so we can watch.

This is the same for racing cars, where most people watch as it is exciting.

Some people say that fruit ninja is a sport, as you have to be very fast to cut the fruit.

Going to the gym or dancing are not really seen as sports, but they popular and good forms of exercise.
