今日は音楽コンサートに行くことについてお話します。皆さんはそこで語彙を学び、それを自分の会話に使えるようになります。

The main venues that live music concerts are held at are big arenas, large stadiums or festivals and also indoor theatres.

When you go to see a band, you are called the audience, or the crowd and your jobs is to have fun and sing along, cheers, clap  shout and scream, dance. When you look a crowd today it seems like more people are just filming the show and taking pictures, rather than watching and enjoying themselves.

It will depend on the venue, but you may be seated or standing and there may even be a balcony, which are seats that are high up and look down at the stage.

If you are at the front and near the stage, you will see there are barriers and security to keep you separate from the band. However, some people drink too much beer and try to crowd surf to the front.  

The stage is where the singers will be and they will be surrounded by lights and lasers and maybe even fireworks, which we call pyrotechnics.

There will also be one large main light that shines on the main singer, called a spotlight

The singer will have a microphone and maybe even a mic stand to hold their microphone.

Behind the singer will be the band, who play the instruments and make the music.

This is usually drums and guitars but can also include keyboards and many other instruments.

You might also have backing singers and dancers on the stage that just support the main singer and make everything better.

There are many types of live music shows and they may be quiet different, so you may not see everything I have talked about here.
