Welcome to my unofficial French course. This is more of a collection of various individual articles I have written about my experiences learning French, but if you read through them in the following order you basically have a beginner’s French course.
This is really the most Basic Bare Bones Guide to French. It’s not here to teach you how to say hello and how to order a coffee. It’s here to explain the main structure and rules of the language to help you pull everything together. You will still need to go and learn a lot of vocabulary and do a lot of immersion in the language.

You will not be fluent, you will not pass any tests, you probably won’t even learn any words if you read this … but you will understand how the language works and then all you really need to do is learn some words and use them in the right way and you will be well on your way to becoming decent at French.
If you are a total beginner or have been studying a while, these topics will be good for you to read about and get a strong gasp of. Use these articles along with your other studies such as immersion and you should get some benefit from them.
