Autumn is a beautiful time of year. This is the time of year that is after summer, but before winter. The main month of autumn is usually October.

It gets colder at this time of year and you will have to start wearing warmer clothes and it can be helpful to drink warm drinks.

The leaves will also be changing colour at this time and you will see many lovely reds, yellow, oranges and even browns. There will also be acorns and chestnuts growing on the trees at this time too and you will see animals eating these.

Other food will be growing too at this time and ready to harvest, like rice, apples and pumpkins. The farmers will be in the fields getting these ready to sell.

However, as it is getting near to winter there will be more rain and more storms, so this is not enjoyable.

We also celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving during autumn too.
