Example Sentences -例文

A lot of people own a Cat or Dog as a pet and they can be very friendly. Insects are small and like to come inside our houses during winter. Everyone says that Spiders are insects, but they are not …although, we do not want them inside our houses!

An Elephant is a big animal. It cannot come inside your house. If you find a Mouse in your house it will eat your food …“Mouse” is also an interesting word, when you have more than one mouse …we say “mice”.

If you go to the mountains you might see some Monkeys climbing the trees and also a Tanuki walking around. In some mountains you might see a Bear. Be careful if you see a bear, they are dangerous.

Some people like to ride Horses. This was how people travelled before we had cars.

Fish and Chicken are animals, but they are also the names of food. We can also eat Cows and Pigs, but when we do this they have a different name, beef and pork.

You will find Birds flying in the sky and you will hear them singing. Ducks are a type of bird, but they like to swim.

Lizards and Snakes have cold blood and a lot of people do not like them.  They do eat a lot of bugs and mice, so they can be good, even if they are a little scary.

A Dragon is not a real animal, but they are like a big lizard. I think Godzilla is also a big lizard …both are imaginary?

1. Many animals have 4 legs,  cats, dogs, bears, cows pigs lizards. I think dragons also have 4 legs, but I am not sure.
2. If you are a vegetarian, you will not eat animals. However, you can eat a lot of them. Fish, chicken, pigs and cows are the most common. Some people eat bears and horses
3. I like to eat chicken. If I could only pick 1, it would be chicken. 
4. An elephant is grey, but sometimes they are dirty and covered in mud.
5. I have a cat, he is very nice and he is my friend.
6. I hate spiders, even if they are small. I do not want one as a pet
7. I have seen a dragon …on TV.
8. Bears live in the mountains of Japan. They usually hide, but they can hurt people.

10.   My favourite animal is a cat. They are funny and cute.
11. I dislike insects. They are ugly.
12. I think there is a lot of fish in the sea. Too many to count.
13. I think birds are okay. They are sometimes too loud. They wake me up in the morning.
14. Snakes are scary, but not all of them have poison.
15. There is no Tanuki where I live, but maybe one day I will live in Japan and see one.
